Hull-based building plastics specialists, NuStock, has today donated over £2,200 to the Women and Children’s Hospital at Hull Royal Infirmary.
The money, which was raised through donations from NuStock customers, will go towards the hospital’s WISHH Baby Loss Appeal, a new appeal which aims to raise £100,000 to enhance the bereavement facilities within Hull Women and Children’s Hospital.
The money was presented to Lisa Whitton, WISHH Charity Manager, who explained how the money will be used:
“The money raised through this appeal will be used to refurbish the bereavement suite here at the hospital, which has been used by more than 100 families over the past 12 months. This suite enables families to make memories with their precious baby in a peaceful and tranquil area.
“Funds raised will also support the renovation of six quiet rooms and improve the entrance and exit to the Early Pregnancy Unit, to reduce the number of encounters families have with other expectant parents and newborn babies.
Lisa adds, “We are extremely grateful to NuStock and its customers for their kind generosity. The money they have donated will go along way to helping us reach our target.”
Christian Hollier, Regional Director Northeast and Scotland of NuStock, concludes: “We’d like to thank all our customers who donated so generously throughout December and the money raised could not have gone towards a more worthy cause.”
